Originally from Tanzania and now based in Palma de Mallorca, Jeannine Cook is an artist specialising in metalpoint, an ancient drawing technique with delicately silvered highlights that is particularly well suited to depicting natural subjects, at the heart of her artistic approach.
She is currently preparing an exhibition devoted to olive trees, from the oldest, millennial specimens to the youngest, all revealed in their silvery beauty.
Having lived in France and the United States, Jeannine has always sought, through her work, to draw attention to the fragile beauty and vulnerability of various natural environments.
