Tania Willis is a British designer and illustrator. Her work spans advertising, murals, publishing, branding, surface design, publishing, licensing and corporate illustration, and has been featured both in magazines and on the side of an aeroplane or on a tram in Hong Kong. She now focuses mainly on illustrated maps, working with developers, placemaking and urban planning stakeholders, and heritage organisations. Now based in Northumberland, she lived for 25 years in Hong Kong — a formative period that profoundly shapes her work. Alongside her commissions, she publishes a range of illustrated paper art inspired by Hong Kong under the name Small Editions.
Her work has received several professional awards, including the Hong Kong Design Awards and the Great China Illustration Awards. She holds a master’s degree in illustration from the Royal College of Art and has worked with clients such as English Heritage, Condé Nast Traveller, Cartier, the BBC, Time Magazine and the Swire Group.
